Sports Jewellery
from Michele's Jewellers
Micheles love for
Sport Jewellery comes from her family background and from her own sporting
background ... but also the influences of friends and tragedy, have enabled
Michele to put her creative skills into a jewellery line so unique and with such
history and emotion.
Micheles selection
of Snow jewellery was designed at a time when no-one could have thought
jewellery could be part of the rebuilding of the Thredbo Landslide
disaster.
In the July of 1997
and after the 5th day of reality that Mike and Mimi Sodergren were not alive,
Friends who lost Mike and other colleagues (Mike was head of Snow Sports School
and Mimi in charge of Women's programmes), decided to set and form the Sodergren
Foundation.
Michele was invited to voluntarily make a sample Sodergren
Ski brooch/badge in respect of Mike, Mimi and the lost lives. The badges are now
a product available for sale at most Thredbo fundraiser events to promote and
fund young Australians in Snow Skiing education.
"I was very proud to be
able to use my ability to help the foundation. I have felt very much part of the
rebuilding of Thredbo in some little way .. my family was at Thredbo at the time
of the landslide." .... Michele
The 18 prong Snowflake piece is proudly
made in respect of the 18 lives lost, this is available throughout the

Micheles Snow jewellery will always be a reflection of her love
for Thredbo and the memory of all 18 lives lost.
