About Michele's Jewellers

1979 - Michele started her jewellery manufacturing apprenticeship in 1979 in Taree. This picture shows her soldering metal pieces together in the production of a piece of jewellery.

The difference between a jeweller who has completed their apprenticeship and those that simply own jewellery stores is that the former can actually make jewellery, therefore the knowledge required about jewellery is much higher.

1983 - Michele opened a small kiosk in the Forster Shopping Village.
1988 - The business had continued to grow and needed more space. Michele's moved to large premises in the Forster Shopping Village. These premises include space for two jewellers working at the bench and a wide range of jewellery and watches on display.
1994 - Michele opened her second store in Wharf Street, Forster in 1994.

2002 - The wharf Street store has been remodelled with a more contemporary look to give a more inviting and comfortable surroundings for customers to visit.

The Wharf Street store carries out all our engraving and trophy jobs. We have a computerised engraving machine installed which ensures a perfect job every time. It is also very versatile enabling us to engrave many more types of items than before.

Michele has indentured young locals into the trade of jewellery and has had school juniors for work experience throughout the last 20 years.

Michele has always been involved in sport, especially hockey and triathlon. This is where Michele has drawn her inspiration for her range of Sporting Jewellery which now covers almost all sports.

Currently playing in the Australian 35s Women's Hockey Team, Michele will compete in a Test Series against New Zealand this coming year. Aussie, Aussie, Aussie!
